Presented by Scarborough Arts, EAST is a Scarborough project creating a buzz and attracting attention from aspiring young musicians, new media journalists and project managers interested in getting into the arts and entertainment industry. Officially launched in August 2012, EAST is a 3-year project which hosts a new music collective, new media journalism collective and project management collective. In addition to the focused sectors, EAST members will receive skill development, employment training and certification, experience in recording, events, features and showcases.
The EAST Music Collective and Project Management Collective is an eight month project (November to July) while the Documentary Collective runs May to August.
